Company information for Greenfibres

1. Company Introduction

Description of business (Introduce your business in a way that assumes no prior knowledge whatsoever.) Greenfibres is about organic textiles. It offers clothing and bedding products for adults and children that are environmentally responsible alternatives to conventional products. Materials used include: organic cotton, organic linen, organic wool, chemical free silk, and hemp, and all items are made under fair and safe working conditions. Some these organic textile products are manufactured by us at our facility just outside of Plymouth, and we also work with over 60 other suppliers in the UK and abroad to ensure that we can offer customers the most environmentally responsible garment without compromising on quality or style. Greenfibres was started in 1996 by William and Gabriela Lana, who were concerned about how our consumption choices as individuals make such an impact on the environment and all living beings on this planet. The more research they did into the processes, conditions and consequences of conventional clothing manufacture and fibre production, the more obvious it became that there should be an ethical and healthy alternative.
